BROKEN BOW SAVAGES

Coach: MAVERICK LANG

3-7

OFFENSE

Broken Bow steps onto the field this season with a blend of seasoned upperclassmen and promising underclassmen. “We will have a good mix of experienced upperclassmen and underclassmen that are good football players that will get on the field for us,” said head coach Maverick Lang. The Savages will implement a no-huddle, multiple look offense that relies on various formations and pre-snap movements to create opportunities in space. Leading the offense is sophomore quarterback Greydon Howell (5-10, 170, So.), joined by standout running back Quinlan Bailey (6-3, 210, Sr.), who also shines on defense. The receiving corps includes Tyrin Tinagero (5-7, 165, Sr.), AJ Brannon (6-2, 200, Jr.), and Sky Baker (6-2, 175, Jr.). Kaplan Burris (6-3, 320, Sr.) anchors the offensive line at right guard. With five returning starters, the Savages’ offense aims to improve upon last year’s performance and bring dynamic play to the field.

DEFENSE

Defensively, the Savages will be anchored by a strong core of returning starters. “We will base out of the 4-2-5 defensively but will have the capability to do multiple things out of it. We want our kids to play with really goodtechnique and be in positions to fly around and make plays,” Lang explained. The defense will be led by linebacker Quinlan Bailey, who exemplifies the physicality and intelligence desired in a player. Defensive end Kyler Cupit (6-4, 245, Sr.) and free safety Sky Baker are key players in the front and back end, respectively. Other notable defenders include outside linebacker Korey Nnokam (6-6, 190, Sr.), defensive tackle Kamden Jackman (6-4, 265, Jr.), and cornerback Korey Fraizer (5-7, 160, Sr.). With eight returning starters, the Savages’ defense is expected to be a resilient and formidable unit this season. Assistant coaches include Rick Lang, Duce Lee, Brayden Jackson, Derrick Hammer, Gary Qualls, and Kaleb Burns.
