Stuart’s Reagan Wade – Softball Spotlight – Presented by Patriot Auto Group of McAlester

In her final season with the Stuart Lady Hornets, Reagan Wade embraces the role of senior leader with purpose and pride. “To be the example for the younger girls, to show them how to get gritty and stay the course,” she said. It’s not just about playing well—it’s about leading with consistency, energy, and heart.

Wade has spent years growing up in the Stuart community, and every inning on the field is another chance to represent it. “Playing for Stuart softball means I’m playing for the community I grew up in, it allows me to show up and show out for them,” she said. “It has given me the opportunity to be a two-time state champion.”

Her role as starting rover is one that demands communication and confidence. “To make sure everyone in the outfield is in the correct positions. Also, to encourage the team to stay ready for every play, encouraging them to complete every play & that it takes all of us to get the win.”

Wade has enjoyed the chance to showcase her adaptability in the rover spot. “Playing rover this season has allowed me to highlight my abilities as a utility player,” she said. “The challenges are having to play a new main position that I haven’t played in a few years.”

As for her own goals, they’re clear: “My personal goals are to hit more home runs than I hit last slow pitch season & to get all-state. My team goals are to win another state championship.”

The next chapter is already in motion. “I have committed to Rose State College and look forward to playing for Coach Madden,” she said. Reagan’s journey has been shaped by dedication and support, especially from her dad. “He has always pushed me above and beyond my limits… resulting with me being a better player.”

Softball has taught her lessons she’ll carry for life: “Responsibility, character, and to work hard.” With a legacy built on grit, leadership, and heart, Reagan Wade is leaving Stuart softball better than she found it.
