The Hartshorne High School cheer team continues to embody the heart and spirit of Miner Nation, proudly representing their school with energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Under the leadership of head coach Desire’ Burke, the squad has built a culture centered on unity and pride. “The Hartshorne High School cheer team just finished up an exciting football season full of fun, teamwork, and growth,” said Burke. “These athletes showed amazing spirit and dedication, supporting the Miners every step of the way. As they move into basketball season, the squad is ready to bring that same energy to the court, cheering on the Lady Miners and Miners with pride. This season has been filled with laughter, learning, and great memories that truly show what Miner spirit is all about.”
Among the standout athletes on the roster is Kammrie Roberts whose talent and determination set her apart. “Kam is an all-around cheer athlete who has competed in competitive cheer for many years,” Burke said. “She is dedicated, hardworking, and always pushing herself to improve. Kam has big goals for next year as she works toward becoming an All-State cheerleader. Her determination and commitment to gaining new skills make her someone to watch!”
Freshman flyer Kynslee Riley also brings youthful enthusiasm and skill to the program. “Kynslee is a freshman who loves all things cheer,” said Burke. “She is dedicated to improving and isn’t afraid to try new skills in the air. As a flyer, she shows confidence and determination, and she also loves to tumble. Kynslee’s energy and passion for cheer make her a valuable part of the team.”
Rounding out the group is athlete Charli Burch, who exemplifies leadership through kindness. “Charli is always there to cheer on her teammates and lift others up with a positive attitude,” Burke said. “She leads by example, showing kindness, dependability, and school pride in everything she does.”
With well-rounded student-athletes like Brynlie Haynes, who shines in FFA, softball, and dance, the Hartshorne cheer team continues to prove that spirit goes far beyond the sidelines. “This team represents everything great about Hartshorne,” said Burke. “They’re positive, hard-working, and full of Miner pride.”
