STUART HORNETS
COACH: Jeff Weedn
Record: 30-2 – State Semifinalist
OUTLOOK
Coming off a 30-2 season and a trip to the state semifinals, the Stuart Hornets are hungry for more as they enter the 2025-26 campaign under head coach Jeff Weedn, who’s building a powerhouse program rooted in leadership, chemistry, and talent. “Stuart boys are very excited for the 25-26 season,” Weedn said. “With four key returning starters, including sophomore sensation Jaren Weedn, experience, chemistry, and leadership should have us poised for another deep playoff run.”
At the center of Stuart’s success is Jaren Weedn (6-1, So.), who exploded onto the scene as a freshman, averaging 18 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game. “Jaren had an incredible freshman campaign,” said Weedn. “He scored 32 points in a dominating regional victory over Mill Creek and put up 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in the state semifinal game.” Jaren also earned statewide recognition as the 2025 OBCA State Free Throw Champion, going a perfect 20-for-20 at halftime of an OKC Thunder game and finishing the season shooting 85% from the line (113/133). “He has a relentless work ethic and has improved every aspect of his game this summer and preseason,” Weedn added.
Joining Weedn in the starting lineup is Cadillac Harris (6-7, Sr.), a dominant force in the paint who averaged 17.1 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Harris’s size and presence make him a key two-way threat for the Hornets. Nolan Stewart (6-4, Sr.) adds balance on the perimeter, contributing 14 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, while Nolan Lindley (6-0, Sr.) brings veteran leadership and consistency with 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per contest.
Zachary Luker (6-3, Sr.) averaged 3.8 points and 6.3 rebounds. “Zachary is an outstanding leader for our boys’ basketball team both on and off the court,” said Weedn. “He always displays great sportsmanship, plays the game with respect and character, and is willing to do whatever it takes to be successful.”
Rounding out the senior class are Cody Cook (5-10, Sr.), who added 2.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game, and freshman Collin Corley (5’10”, Fr.), who averaged 18.2 points per game at the junior high level and is expected to make an impact this year.
With depth, discipline, and star power, the Hornets are primed to make another strong run. As coach Weedn put it, “This group’s experience and leadership give us every reason to believe we can compete at a championship level again.”
