SASAKWA VIKINGS

Coach: CORKY SNODGRASS

1-9

OFFENSE

The Sasakwa Vikings head into the 2024 season with a youthful and energetic squad. Leading the offense are sophomore wide receivers Titan Collins (5-9, 155, So.) and Darius Henderson (5-8, 145, So.), both of whom had impressive freshman campaigns. “Sasakwa is going to be a very young team during the 2024 season. They will only have one senior and several freshmen and sophomores in the starting lineup. The Vikings still hope to improve their record from the previous season,” head coach Corky Snodgrass said. The Vikings will run a balanced offensive scheme with split backs and twins’ formations. The offense will focus on utilizing the strengths of Collins and Henderson, who combined for 22 receptions, 622 yards and nine touchdowns, and 34 receptions, 737 yards and 11 touchdowns respectively. With four returning starters, the Vikings look to make significant strides this season.

DEFENSE

The Vikings’ defense will operate from a 3-3 base formation, emphasizing physicality and versatility.  Leading the defense is sophomore linebacker Joseph Lunn (5-7, 180, So.), who had a standout freshman season with 86 tackles and 11 sacks. “Joseph Lunn is the leader of Sasakwa Vikings Football. He leads on and off the field,” Snodgrass said. The secondary will be anchored by Darius Henderson, who is also a key defensive back. “Darius is one of the best athletes at Sasakwa. Henderson is a threat to take the ball into the end zone every time he gets it,” Snodgrass said. “The most versatile player on the Vikings roster.” Titus Harper-Collins (Fr.) will aid on both sides of the ball this season, with him being a headhunter on defense and a menacing runner with the ball in his hands. With four returning starters, the Vikings’ defense aims to be a strong unit capable of setting the tone in games.
