“I was introduced to FCA by my dad, due to his involvement with this ministry. I became very interested in it and I decided to attend Xtreme camp, although it was still foreign territory to me. FCA Xtreme camp was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had. Not only did I learn to compete in a Christlike way, but I also grew in my relationship with Jesus as well. All week, huddle leaders, FCA staff members, and fellow campers poured into me. When camp was over, I wanted to bring the same feeling I had during camp back to my school. Our school had never had FCA before, but with lots of convincing, my principal agreed to let me start a huddle. Since October, FCA has already made such a positive impact on our campus. FCA is important to me is because I have experienced the Lord move in my school in ways that I couldn’t have imagined. FCA has helped me grow in my walk with Christ, which is why I appreciate the ministry the most.”
College plans: I plan on continuing my education at Oklahoma State and majoring in agricultural business.

“FCA is important to me because it allows students to come together in fellowship to serve our one and only God. As an athlete, we tend to feel like others cannot relate to our circumstances, but FCA provides and atmosphere where everyone’s situations are validated. I love hearing messages from past, present, and future athletes or coaches because oftentimes we do not take in sermons like that at church. Being surrounded by some of my best friends, who are worshipping with the same goal in mind is a sight to see and FCA provides that opportunity. For athletes who maybe have never been exposed to Jesus and are struggling to find their identity in Christ, FCA is the perfect place to be. Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a priority to me, it is important to me, and it is something that I look forward to throughout my busy schedule.”

“FCA is important to me because it brings Jesus into my school life. It is very important to me that Jesus is the center of everything that I do. Going to a public school makes this difficult. FCA also makes it easily accessible for others to hear about Jesus!! At our FCA we do not have officers, but I am the one who helps plan and execute our meetings and events. I also run our social media and I hosted this year’s Fields of Faith. “

We have gotten so many cool opportunities, had so many amazing experiences, and made so many life long friends through it. I attended FCA camp as a camper in 2019 and since then I have just come through out the weeks and hung out with staff members and helped where I am needed, and I have really enjoyed being able to do that. I am now the leader of our high school FCA huddle and it’s so fun! We have quite a big group and I love getting to find new speakers each week, super grateful for our group!”

“FCA is important to me because it has helped me make lifelong friend’s who have the same end goals and morals as myself. FCA has helped me in many different ways such as getting out of my comfort zone, learning more about Christ and helping grow my faith. FCA has also helped me learn how to be a leader and lead others to Christ. I have lead bible studies with younger girls after school and I am currently a Junior High FCA leader. I have been in FCA all four years of high school. I have served in many different officer and leader positions. These include Song and Praise leader, Vice President, and President. I want to spread god’s love and word throughout the school and so does everyone who attends. We want to show jesus love on the field, court, track and in everything we do. I think there is something special about athletes showing there love for god and being unashamed of sharing his word because alot of people look up to the athletes in there school. We don’t have certain officers but I am one of the leaders. We have speakers almost every wednesday and I am the one who contacts the pastors and speakers. I went to FCA extreme camp in summer 2024. “FCA has been an important part of my life since 5th grade. It was the first school group I was involved in and I have been involved in it since then. It has been such an eye opener to see our students and some teachers openly talk about Christ at school and shine a light for Him on campus. At THS we don’t hold offices but we do have a leadership team that I have been on since 7th grade. The leaders coordinate speakers and the meal for each week and lead the meetings. This allows us to have a platform for our faith among our peers and gives us courage to stand for what we know is right. Our sponsors do an incredible job of leading us all in the right direction and making sure we shine a good light on all that is FCA. I began attending Competitors camp when I was old enough to go and went until I was in 7th grade. Last year I attended my first Extreme Camp and absolutely loved it. I fell in love with the way all of these high school and college kids were working together all for the same purpose of glorifying God in every way from competing to cleaning up after meals.”

“FCA is what brought my faith, which was private and my personal life together. I had my faith behind closed doors and my regular life, social, athletic and “acceptable” life in the public. FCA is what brought who I was, completely to light. I was able to share my faith with the integration of my athletics and my friends. Haley’s establishment and involvement in FCA here in Vinita is what brought my confidence in walking out my faith in every aspect of my life, and gave me the opportunity to share it with my entire school and teams- now which I do proudly and eagerly.”

“I attended FCA camp in the summer of 2019. Watching those high school kids volunteering to change the lives of so many students inspired me to be just like them. With that being said, I have had the amazing privilege of being Yukon’s FCA Student President for two years now. I am absolutely blessed to be able to share the love of the Lord. I encourage classmates, teammates, and other students that don’t have something to be apart of to be apart of Yukon’s FCA family. The atmosphere of our FCA is remarkable. Every student has a story, and I love nothing more than getting to witness them pursue their story with God. I plan our FCA schedule, find guest speakers for every meeting, run our social media page, organize T-Shirt sells, and overall oversee every meeting. Even though it is a tough position, at the end of the day I am so blessed that God has chosen me to be a vessel for him.”

FCA has been a very important piece in my high school experience in connecting me with my friends in our faith. I had plenty of friends at church that I could have deep meaningful conversations with about the gospel, but I did not really have that with my school friends until FCA. Favorite Bible Verse: Job 1:12
“My parents began taking me to church at a very young age but it was not until high school that my relationship with God truly became a real walk of faith. Long story short; I was a high school wrestler that wanted to win everything and for the most part I was winning everything but there was a certain individual that I could need beat. After months (years) of trying to beat this person I finally realized I was missing something, a relationship with God. So I began to pray; I prayed everyday multiple times of day. I prayed so much that my prayers didn’t seem like praying anymore they just seemed like an ongoing conversation with God. He really helped me fine what I was missing. I ended up beating this guy, that I have never beaten, 3 times my senior year. I truly believe it was because God was there guiding me in the direction I was needing to go.”

Will Robinson
Durant

The loss of a great man is always cause for mourning and celebration. We at FCA mourn the loss of Coach Will Robinson and his daughter CJ, while acknowledging his contributions and influence on those he encountered along the way.
Will is affectionately remembered as a genuinely nice guy. A coach who believed in his players until they believed in themselves. Will inherited a 1-22 team at his alma mater Durant High School. He then proceeded to lead them to multiple winning seasons, region and area victories and had several players go on to play basketball at the collegiate level. His impact on the girls he coached will be felt long after the ball stops bouncing for them.
Coach Rob’s accomplishments as a coach have etched his name in the record books, and more importantly his faith in God, has landed him in the book of life.
