Two seniors are stepping up to lead the Allen Mustangs this season—Quintin Box and Kayd Bell—each bringing their own strengths, experience, and drive to the field.

Quintin Box, who started at quarterback in Texas as a junior, has transferred to Allen for his final high school season. “I’m excited about seeing how players and coaches both develop after every game,” he shared. With experience playing tough competition, he knows he can offer leadership and mental toughness. Versatile on both sides of the ball, Quintin plays quarterback, safety, and linebacker and also contributes on special teams. Last season, he tallied around 1,000 all-purpose yards in just a few games, plus a kickoff return touchdown and 15 pass breakups.

Quintin credits his dad—also his head coach—as a big part of his journey. “I’d like to remember when we’d wake up every Saturday morning to watch film and eat breakfast together,” he said. Looking ahead, he plans to keep playing football at the next level while working toward a career as an accountant or physical therapist. He also gives a special shoutout to his family, friends, and God for their support.

On the other side of the field, Kayd Bell is eager to make this year count. “I’m excited for the opportunity to get better, win games, and become really good as a team overall,” he said. A dynamic athlete, Kayd plays slot receiver on offense and cornerback on defense. He’s also involved in basketball and FCA and plans to study veterinary medicine after graduation.

Kayd hopes to leave behind a legacy of discipline and encouragement. “I want to be remembered as someone who always supported and motivated my teammates,” he shared. Inspired by NFL star Saquon Barkley’s work ethic and humility, Kayd keeps his focus on the team first.

As the season begins, both seniors are ready to lead, setting the tone for the Mustangs on and off the field.
