Ada’s Tremain Gray – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma Complete Health

Tremain Gray’s love for basketball is deeply rooted in his childhood. “I started playing basketball before I can remember,” he said. “My dad was a standout player for Ada High back in the day, so he started working with me early on. My love for the game started as early as I can remember. I always had a ball in my hand.” Tremain initially played point guard but transitioned to shooting guard as he grew taller, adapting his skills to fit the role.

His biggest inspiration has always been his father. “My dad is the one who inspired me to play,” Tremain explained. “I would watch some old clips of him, and I thought he was the best player ever! I wanted to be just like him, although he can’t guard me now!” Tremain’s admiration for his father fuels his determination and drive, both on and off the court.

As the only senior on the Ada High basketball team, Tremain has stepped into a leadership role this season. “It’s been an interesting but exciting transition,” he shared. “I’ve had to take on more of a leadership role to help bring the team together. There’s lots of respect and trust between my teammates and myself.” His leadership isn’t just about his scoring ability or defense; it’s about motivating his teammates and keeping them focused during challenging moments.

Tremain’s goal for this season is clear: “My goal is to make it to the championship game,” he said. “My hope is that we all come together and create a family and create memories that last a lifetime.” Beyond high school, Tremain has aspirations of playing college basketball while pursuing a business degree. “My goal is to go and play college sports and get my business degree,” he explained. “I want to eventually run my own real estate business.”

With a strong sense of family, leadership, and a clear vision for his future, Tremain Gray is poised to make a lasting impact both on and off the court. His journey in basketball is far from over, and the support from his community and family continues to fuel his passion and drive.
