VYPE: What sports do you play?

Chalin Robertson: Baseball.

VYPE: What positions do you play?

CR: Pitcher.

VYPE: What motivates you?

CR: I am motivated by my teammates, friends and family.

VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models?

CR: My parents are my biggest role models, as they have demonstrated and taught me to work hard and give everything my all.

VYPE: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life?

CR: I would say Mrs. Sewell has had the biggest impact because she is really nice.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?

CR: It’s taken a lot of hard work to be successful in my sport because naturally, I’m not the most athletic.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?

CR: The highlight moment of my career has been moving to Ada from Byng, as I have got to pitch the most innings on the team. I only threw 1.1 innings last spring for Byng.

VYPE: Is there an opponent that you enjoy beating the most?

CR: The opponent that I enjoy beating the most is definitely Byng because that’s where I moved from and it’s fun to face them.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most with in practice?

CR: I don’t really work against other people in practice, but I would say that the one that shows the hardest work and is locked in all the time is Keith Cook.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

CR: After high school, I plan to go to a highly recognized academic school, and it would be great if I could end up pitching at one of those schools.

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?

CR: It means a lot to represent my school and community. I feel like I should always be on my A-game for them.
