Campbell Cole may only be a sophomore, but her laundry list of awards rivals most student-athletes years ahead of her.
“I have been named an All-Star recipient twice, a Top Gun Tumbler, a member of a Top Gun Stunt group and an All-American recipient,” the Ada High School cheerleader said. “I could have not accomplished any of that without my team. I love being a contributor and feel so grateful for all my teammates and coaches.”
Cole is a member of Oklahoma Legends All-Star team and takes tumbling and dance classes. She participates in Spanish Club, Serve Club and Japanese Interact at AHS and plans to run track next semester. Cole attends H2O.Chuch in Ada.
“I am most proud of being a part of a competitive cheer squad,” Cole said. “We are working hard to create new legacies and traditions. During my time as a cheerleader, I have been a member of a squad that took first place and overall champion in a Game Day competition. We have also advanced placement at Regionals and State every year we have competed.”
Before she hangs up her maroon and white pom poms, Cole wants to win a state championship and compete at nationals.
“I want to contribute skill and ability but most of all I want to be there for my teammates and always lift them up. . . I also want to master new stunting and tumbling skills and be named an All-State cheerleader,” Cole said. “I am looking forward to the next three years at Ada High. Being involved is very important to me, and there are so many activities and clubs to be part of. I hope to make the most of my dads as an Ada Cougar.”
In her free time, Cole dedicates herself to her faith, family and friends. She takes a yearly trip to Kanakuk every summer and enjoys making new friends while growing in her relationship with God.
After high school, Cole plans to pursue higher education and cheer at the collegiate level.
“At the moment, my plan is Oklahoma State University,” Cole said. “I want to student speech pathology.”
