Ada’s Anna Beth Muse – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Casey Fowler Shelter Insurance

Ada High School sophomore Anna Beth Muse has grown into cheerleading with a passion that shines through every routine and chant. Her journey began in the seventh grade when she tried out for cheer because all her friends were doing it. “Once I made the junior high squad, I fell in love with cheer. I still love cheering with all of my friends and enjoy performing and gaining skills as a team.”

What motivates Anna Beth most is the constant drive for improvement, knowing that in cheerleading, “There is always room for improvement… Our coaches are always pushing us to get to the next level, and our team is very supportive.” She also draws inspiration from her faith, citing Colossians 3:23 as a verse she keeps close: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Anna Beth’s biggest influence, however, comes from her oldest brother, John David. “Throughout my whole life I have looked up to him and wanted to be just like him… He pushes me to be a better person. Whenever I am down, he is always right there to pick me back up.” His unwavering support and kind spirit have left a lasting impression on her, driving her to be the best version of herself, on and off the mat.

The highlight of Anna Beth’s cheer career so far came when her junior high team won the state championship in the game day division. “The emotions I felt after hearing Ada be announced in first place is indescribable… I have never felt more accomplished and proud than I did in that moment.” The experience solidified her love for the sport and her commitment to her team.

Beyond cheer, Anna Beth is heavily involved in the Ada Performing Arts program, student council, FCA and several other clubs. She plans to pursue marine biology after high school, inspired by her love for the ocean and animals. Through it all, she remains proud to represent Ada High School: “It truly is an honor and a privilege to be an Ada High School cheerleader. I mean it when I cheer that ‘it’s great to be an Ada Cougar.’”
