ADA — The Ada High School wrestling team will be well represented at the Class 5A State Tournament after four wrestlers earned qualifying spots at the 5A East Regional.
Leading the way for the Cougars were Jace Davis (126 pounds), Jake Bohannon (138 pounds) and Gage VanHorn (heavyweight), each finishing fourth in their respective weight classes to punch their ticket to state.
Also earning a place on the podium was Colby Fowler (106 pounds), who took sixth place to cap a strong showing for the Ada squad.
Ada coaches and fans praised the team’s effort and determination throughout the tournament, as the Cougars continued to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the postseason.
The Class 5A State Wrestling Championships are scheduled for next weekend, where Ada’s qualifiers will compete against the top wrestlers from across Oklahoma.
