Coach: Morgen Hollingshed

“We’re really excited for slow pitch this year,” said head coach Morgen Hollingshed of her determined Silo Rebels. “These girls have been grinding and are ready to get back to work on the diamond. They didn’t like the way their season ended last year and we’re ready to make a statement.”

After dedicating themselves through offseason training, Hollingshed’s squad returns with renewed focus and fire, determined to channel last season’s disappointment into a dominant spring performance across the district circuit.

At the center of Silo’s lineup stands Connie Tubby, the team’s unquestioned offensive leader with her sights set on college ball. “Connie is a hard worker,” Hollingshed said. “She led the team in homeruns in fast pitch this last season. She is committed to play softball at Murray State. I’m looking forward to seeing her do some damage at the plate this spring!” Tubby’s power swing and relentless preparation make her the catalyst for Silo’s high-octane offense, capable of changing games with one swing of the bat as the Rebels aim to overpower opponents early and often.

Sophomore Maddix Sander enters her first full varsity spring as a breakout underclassman to watch, showing serious promise after a strong fall campaign. “Maddix is looking to make an impact with her bat this spring,” Hollingshed said. “She had a good fall, and we are excited to see her continue to grow.” With her developing skills and hunger to contribute, Sander represents the youthful energy Hollingshed wants to fuel Silo’s lineup from top to bottom as they build chemistry through the regular season grind.

Providing veteran stability and setting the example for the entire roster is senior Paeytn Garrett, Silo’s unquestioned locker room leader. “Paetyn is a senior leader,” Hollingshed said. “She has done great things for us. She is an awesome person and has great character. She is always someone for the younger players to look up to. She carries herself so well.” Garrett’s poise under pressure and selfless approach create the culture Hollingshed believes will carry the Rebels deep into postseason contention.

Fueled by Tubby’s power, Sander’s emergence, and Garrett’s leadership, Hollingshed’s Rebels carry clear motivation after last year’s abrupt ending. This battle-tested group enters spring slow-pitch ready to swing for the fences, make opponents pay at the plate, and prove they belong among Oklahoma’s elite programs. The diamond awaits Silo’s redemption run.
