Ada Cheer Team 2025
The Ada Cougars cheer squad is heading into the 2025-2026 school year with strong leadership, fresh talent, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the sidelines. Head coach Karry Griese says this group is special because of the energy and dedication they bring every single day.
The Cougars have a mix of experienced athletes and rising stars who are ready to step up. Griese said leadership has been a big part of why the program continues to thrive. This group knows what it takes to be successful. They are willing to put in the work at practice and it shows in their performances.
One of the standout leaders is senior captain Lilli Keefer. Keefer has been a varsity cheerleader since her freshman year, and her athletic background makes her a versatile force. “Lilli is the entire package as a cheerleader,” Griese said. “She can tumble, jump and stunt with the best of them. She takes practices and workouts seriously, and it shows. She’s a natural born leader and I believe she will make an awesome coach one day.”
The future of Ada cheer also looks bright with Anna Beth Muse making waves early in her career. Griese said her energy and skill are undeniable. “Anna Beth already is a star,” Griese said. “At cheer camp this year she won two of the four awards given out of over 400 cheerleaders. She won for best jump, which she also earned last year, and she won for best dance. She is an awesome base and just a great all-around cheerleader.”
Character and leadership matter just as much as talent, and the program highlights that through Heidi Clay. Griese said Clay embodies what it means to be a Cougar cheerleader. Heidi is the type of athlete who encourages others, leads by example, and is always willing to do what’s best for the team.
With veteran leadership, rising young talent, and a group dedicated to team success, Griese said the Cougars are in a great place.
