VANOSS LADY WOLVES

GIRLS

Coach: JON HURT

23-24 Record: 28-5

Coming off a remarkable 28-5 season, the Vanoss Lady Wolves are set to be a defensive powerhouse this year, with head coach Jon Hurt leading the way. “We have several players with years of experience that should help us,” said coach Hurt. “We will be really good defensively but need to find someone to step up on the offensive end of the floor.” With a blend of seasoned veterans and determined young talent, the Lady Wolves are gearing up for another promising season.

The roster is led by standout senior point guard Caidence Cross (Sr. PG), a three-year starter who has helped lead the team to the state tournament each season. Praised by coach Hurt as a “great leader that always competes and makes those around her better,” Caidence’s skill and competitive drive will be crucial in orchestrating the Lady Wolves’ offense. Joining her are senior Lani Myers (Sr.) and junior Livi Ellis (Jr.), both of whom bring defensive intensity and game experience. Livi is known for her dedication both on and off the court, contributing to her church and community.

Key returning players, such as senior guard Lani Myers (Sr. G) and junior forward Jolee Cooper (Jr. F), provide defensive depth and leadership. Sophomore Brooke Currie (So.), freshman Brylee Kelley (Fr. G), and junior forward Kenzie Beck (Jr. F) will also play pivotal roles, supporting the team’s defense and developing their offensive contributions throughout the season.

Freshmen like guards Macy Brown (Fr. G) and Brylee Kelley bring energy and enthusiasm to the team, while senior Reese Simmons (Sr.) and sophomore Grace Delaney (So.) offer experience and versatility. As the Lady Wolves refine their offensive game, they will rely on this mix of young and experienced players to push them through a competitive season.
