Brock Boyles, the quarterback at Ada High School, has football in his veins. “I have grown up around football my entire life. My dad has been a coach since I was born, so I have been a ball boy, been on the sidelines, been around it all,” he explained. This deep-rooted exposure has shaped his passion and dedication to the sport.
Brock’s inspiration comes from close to home. “My dad has been someone who inspired me to play. My biggest influence to keep playing and give it all I have is my parents.”
Reflecting on the team’s dynamic this season, Brock describes a strong bond. “The team’s chemistry this year was like a brotherhood. We all loved each other and played our hearts out for each other and always had each other’s backs.”
As the team’s quarterback, Brock takes on significant responsibilities. “It is to manage the offense and put points up on the board. I prepare every week by watching film and learning what the defense is going to do that week.”
Brock’s aspirations for this season are clear. “My goal this year is to finish what we started last year, get further and win a state championship,” he said..
A highlight of Brock’s career was a clutch play in a critical game. “My favorite highlight was probably in the quarterfinal game this year. We were playing Clinton, and we were tied up. I threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Deante Lindsey, and we went on to win that game and advance.”
Brock values the community support immensely. “The community around the football team is incredible. When we know we have a community on our side, it just gives us that much more juice and fire to go out and give everything we have because we don’t want to let them down.”
Looking ahead, Brock has ambitious goals. “I want to be playing college football and going to school to get a degree.” His commitment to sports extends beyond football, as he also plays baseball and basketball.
Brock Boyles embodies dedication, resilience, and a deep love for the game, making him a crucial player and leader at Ada High School.
