ANTLERS BEARCATS

Coach: DUSTIN BEASLEY

5-5

OFFENSE

Antlers returns to the field with a highly experienced offense, led by standout offensive lineman Sherman Riemenschneider (6-4, 250, Sr.). “Sherman is the epitome of a workhorse, with ability,” coach Dustin Beasley said. “Sherman is a leader in the weight room, in the locker room, on the field, in practice and in games.” The Bearcats will employ a spread offense under the guidance of Beasley. “We are bringing back many experienced players this year. The offense will be versatile with a large number of players being able to contribute in all areas,” Beasley said. The offense will be orchestrated by quarterback Raycton Low (5-10, 175, Sr.), who will have key targets in wide receivers Chandler Joslin (5-7, 160, Sr.) and Camron Redday (6-1, 180, Sr.). Running back Tyler Mederious (6-0, 195, Sr.) will also play a pivotal role. The offensive line is anchored by returning starters Sherman Riemenschneider and Colton Sorrells (6-3, 250, Sr.). “We will run the spread offense that is predicated on taking advantage of our opponents’ weakness. We should be proficient in both the run and pass game,” Beasley added. Riemenschneider is a VYPE Top 100 nominee. With eight returning starters, the Bearcats are aiming for a strong offensive season.

DEFENSE

The Bearcats’ defense will operate from a 3-4 base under defensive coordinator Tyler Beasley. The unit will focus on being physical, gang tackling and stopping the run game. “The defense will be counted on to set the tone of the game,” Beasley said. The defensive line features Thomas Todd (5-10, 250, Jr.), a powerful presence in the trenches. In the secondary, Ben Copeland (6-2, 180, Jr.) and Zane Rinehart (5-6, 150, Jr.) will provide solid coverage. The linebacker corps is bolstered by returning starters Grant Armstrong (5-8, 180, Jr.) and Bryn Copeland (6-2, 175, Jr.), both of whom bring intensity and physicality to the defense. With eight returning starters, the Bearcats’ defense is expected to be a formidable unit this season.
