His all-purpose yardage totaled 936 yards, averaging 93.6 yards per game, highlighting his versatility and importance to the team’s offense.

Kenny’s journey in football began from a deep-seated love for the game and a passion for hard work. “I just loved to play football and like to be in the lab and grind,” Kenny shared.

Kenny’s inspiration comes from seeing others succeed and making their families proud, particularly looking up to Marshawn Lynch for his selflessness.

For the 2024 season, Kenny has set his sights high with the goal of rushing for 1,500 yards. His typical training week is intense, involving about four sessions a week at C4 right after school workouts. “Very, very hard stuff coming straight to C4 after my school workouts,” he said.

Reflecting on his challenges, Kenny mentions the difficulty of maintaining composure under pressure. “Probably keeping myself together and just taking a deep breath,” he said. A memorable highlight from this season was scoring five touchdowns in one game, a testament to his talent and hard work.

Looking ahead, Kenny envisions himself at a Division I college, continuing his football journey. “I can see myself at a Division I college playing football,” he said.

To younger players aspiring to high school football, Kenny advises, “Stay healthy, keep grinding and your time will come.”

Community support is another critical element for the team, ensuring everyone is aligned and motivated. “It is very important to make sure we are all on the same page,” Kenny emphasized.

His mother is his role model. “My mother, both on and off the field,” he said, highlighting her influence on his life.

Outside of football, Kenny enjoys basketball, track, and weightlifting. He extends his gratitude to Sean Cooper for his support throughout his journey.

Kenny Golston plans to continue playing football in college while also pursuing academic goals. His dedication, hard work and community support make him a shining athlete at Valliant High School.
